Certified Parent Peer Specialist (CPPS) Trainings:

CPPS trainings are largely on hold pending the upcoming revision of the CPPS curriculum. Once the curriculum and exam are fully revised later in 2023, trainings will likely be scheduled again shortly thereafter. We understand the wait for this revision has taken us some time and we want to stay accountable to the workforce, to those who are following our progress and our community partners who are seeking CPPS employees to fill vacancies very much needed within their communities. This manual revision has been one of which is a complete change and we are enthusiastic about the possibilities a complete overhaul in the manual will bring. We are dedicated to nurturing and growing a quality CPPS workforce who are committed to the values we hold so dearly such as informed consent, self-determination, and mutuality to develop meaningful and healthy relationships with the peers they support. We are working diligently to bring something special to the table with the help of others insights, perspectives and wisdom from lengthy careers in Certified Parent Peer Specialist roles. We are humbled by the opportunity to hear many voices and to implement the feedback we receive through our surveys, seeking feedback and the many very special partnerships we hold within communities throughout the state. We are always listening & we are always seeking new ways to hear more from the workforce as a whole. We are interested in hearing what the workforce is seeking, what it desires and how we can support the by implementing the many great ideas and projects so many of you have shared with us. Additionally, we are advancing our work in advocacy as there will be a greater emphasis on advocacy in both the CPS & CPPS manuals and we will be doing all we can to educate and support advocacy efforts throughout Wisconsin so we can continue to move our work forward and continue to grow. Thank you for your patience while we continue in this labor of love, we are doing the best we can and we desire to bring forth a manual we can all be proud of.
