Announcing 6-month recertification deadline extensions!

Due to the impact of COVID-19, 6-month extensions to the recertification deadlines for CPS and CPPS, respectively, have been approved. Please see the below letters from Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) regarding these extensions and the new deadlines for submitting recertification forms and payment.

Requirements and Submitting Continuing Education Forms for Recertification

For Certified Peer Specialists (CPS):

As a Certified Peer Specialist you will need need to submit your recertification application by August 30th in the year in which your certification expires (see current exceptions in the update below). The year of expiration is noted on your physical certificate from the state.

For CPS recertification preparation, including an application, please reference the following link for the Peer Specialist Recertification and Continuing Education Requirements.

For Certified Parent Peer Specialists (CPPS):

As a Certified Parent Peer Specialist you will need to submit your recertification application by January 30th in the year in which your certification expires. The year of expiration is noted on your physical certificate from the state.
