Training dates: February 1st – 5th, 8th – 12th, 15th – 19th, 22nd (9am-12pm all training dates)

Determining Eligibility and Fit

The following are required to be eligible to apply to this CPPS training:

• Must self-identify as having personal lived experience of parenting a youth who has navigated social, emotional, behavioral, mental health and/or substance use challenges
• Must reside in any Wisconsin county
• Must have at least a high school dimploma or GED equivalent
• Must be 18 years of age or older

14-18 participants will be selected for this training. To be considered for selection, you must meet the basic eligibility requirements above, submit an application form, and complete an interview. There is no training registration cost for participants.

Possible Early Closing of Applications:

A maximum of 50 applications will be considered. If 50 applications are received prior to the application deadline (see above), the application form will automatically close and no additional applications will be received.

We are happy to announce an online, statewide Certified Peer Specialist training coming in January of 2021!

Training dates: This online CPS training will be scheduled for January 8th, 11th-15th, 18th-22nd, 25th-29th (5pm-8pm all days). 

This training is sponsored by Madison Area Technical College, and is a publicly-available training, accepting applications from residents of all Wisconsin counties.

Application Deadline: This application period closed early at 1:06pm on Friday, November 13th, 2020 when the 50th application was submitted.

Training dates: This virtual, regional CPS training will be scheduled for October 26th – 30th, November 2nd – 6th, 9th – 13th, 16th (5pm-8pm all days). 

Applications will be accepted from residents of Jackson, La Crosse, Monroe, Trempealeau and Vernon counties only. This training is being sponsored by Monroe County with support through Independent Living Resources.

You must live in one of the above-mentioned counties, complete an application, and pass an interview to be selected for this training.

Application Deadline: 12pm (noon) on Friday, October 2nd, 2020

Training dates: This virtual CPPS training will be scheduled for October 5th-9th, 12th-16th, 19th-23rd, 26th (9am-12pm all days). 

Applications will be accepted from residents of all Wisconsin counties.

Participants must live in one of the above-mentioned counties, complete an application, and pass an interview to be selected for this training.

Applications Open: 12pm (noon) on Monday, August 10th, 2020. The application form will be found in this event listing at that time.

Application Deadline: 11:59pm on Monday, September 7th, 2020.

Training dates: This virtual CPS training will be scheduled for Setptember 3rd-4th, 8th-11th, 14th-18th, and 21st-25th (1:30-4:30pm all days). Will not meet on Labor Day.

Applications will be accepted from residents of Buffalo, Crawford, Grant, Iowa, Jackson, Juneau, La Crosse, Lafayette, Monroe, Richland, Sauk, Trempealeau, and Vernon counties only.

You must live in one of the above-mentioned counties, complete an application, and pass an interview to be selected for this training.
