Statewide CPS Training Process (revised and updated as of September 2021):
As we seek to expand access to CPS trainings, while navigating a very much changed WIPSEI as impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, we are reviewing and revising our statewide CPS training application process based on data, feedback, and capacity.
This revised process, which includes a shorter application period, no cap on the number of applications received, and a full review of all applications received (new), is intended to allow sufficient time for interested applicants to apply (no 50 applicant cut-off/closing of applications), while still honoring our trainers’ capacity through the 5-day application window. It is designed to support both accessibility and equity.
This unique application process only applies to statewide, CPS trainings not of a community-specific nature at this time. It does not apply to regional trainings, community-specific trainings, or trainings specific to a certain county or tribe.
Trainers will submit a roster of selected participants to the WIPSEI at least two weeks prior to the training start date. Please do not contact the WIPSEI about your selection decision during this review process, as we will not have updates for you. All applicants will be informed of their selection decision regardless of whether they were selected for a training or not.
The following are required to be eligible to apply for this CPS training:
