We are happy to announce an online Certified Peer Specialist training coming in September of 2021!
This online Certified Peer Specialist training is hosted by Access To Independence.
Training dates: September 1st-3rd, (Wed.-Fri.), 8th-10th (Wed.-Fri.), 13th-14th (Mon.-Tues.), 17th(Fri.), 22nd-24th (Wed.-Fri.), 27th-28th (Mon.-Tues.)
Hours 4:30pm-8pm CDT
Trainers: Tim Saubers & Dominique Christian
Determining Eligibility and Fit
The following are required to be eligible to apply to this CPS training:
- Must self-identify as having navigated personal lived experience of mental health and/or substance use challenges
- Must reside in Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Douglas, Green, Iron, Price, Sawyer, and Washburn counties
- Must have at least a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
14-18 participants will be selected for this training. To be considered for selection, you must meet the basic eligibility requirements above, submit an application form, and complete an interview. There is no training registration cost for participants.
